Well this is the report by Matthew Robson an intern from a London School. He was asked to write a report on teenager’s likes and dislikes.
The report has proved to be most thought provoking insights as declared by Edward Hill-Wood,excecutive director of Morgan Stanley European Media team.Morgan Stanley’s have employed dozens and dozens of Fund managers and CEO’s e-mailing and calling all day.
But as per the report the rapid surge of interest in social networking sites has prompted speculation that sites like Twitter and facebook can be a real goldmine for the business world is not right.
Robson has dismisssed Twitter’s online advertising as pointless and if such sites are taken over by business houses such move could be foolish.
No doubt teenagers were using these sites but they were unwilling to pay for it.They sign up to the service but leave it as soon as they realise that they are not going to update it.They realise that no one is viewing their profile so their tweets are pointless.
Also no teenager bothers to read pages and pages of text regularly in a newspaper as they could watch the news summarised on the internet or on TV.
The teenagers are also put off by the intrusive advertising ,well he has got a point there. It is very irritating and one simply tends to curse and close the ad without reading what it was all about.
Teenagers prefer to listen to advert free music on websites and do not want to pay for it prefering to download it illegally.
Movies downloading is not favoured because of the poor picture quality.
Instead of chatting on internet games consoles like Wii which offer free voice chat between the users are gaining popularity now.
Trust a 15 year old to pinpoint the exact position.Internet once hailed as a revolution in the ad-world is not such a lucrative preposition now.
