Mr. L.K.Advani the opposition leader and stalwart of Bhartiya Janta Party is a hunted man no not by the Congress, in fact they are lucky, they do not need to even lift a tiny finger to do anything against their main political rival, the infighting in the BJP itself is quite efficiently doing their job. Nearly every member of his party who has been dismissed, sidelined or given a show cause notice is gunning for him.

Every action taken by him in the past is under scanner, especially the now infamous Khandaar decision meeting. His alleged presence in the meeting and approval to send Jaswant Singh with the terrorists to rescue the hijacked plane and his denial is out in the open.

The famous promise to handover his resignation after the election debacle and the fizzling out of an empty threat or promise is well known.

One thing which is quite clearly coming out of the so called transparent closet is his love for power and position. It would have been a very dignified exit had he remained firm in his decision to quit but it was not to be.

In past when he was the Deputy Prime Minister he was always projected as the most targeted politician with maximum risk. I always wondered how come others who occupy more important positions were under less danger and till now he is enjoying the maximum security that of nearly 275 policemen in fact small army is guarding Mr. Advani.

After the events and developments of past few days I no longer wonder. Now I know why Mr.Advani needs maximum security, apart from terrorists threats he is also threatened from his own party members. No not to eliminate him but to take away his power, and he really needs his army to safeguard it.

That is besides the point that he is safeguarding it at the expense of honest taxpayers money.
