There has been treatment for suspicion no Doctor has even come closer to treating this deadly disease because there is no medicine made till date which can cure it even a little bit. A person blinded by suspicion can go any limits to allay it or for his own comfort to confirm it.

Ashok a businessman from Indore was suspicious that his wife Sulekha for 21 years was having an affair, that too with his neighbour Anil. He started having this feeling when they were married for five years, They used to have regular fights about her non existent affair. First Ashok kept an eye on her himself spying her every movement but was unable to find anything indiscriminatory.

Not satisfied he hired private detectives to confirm his suspicions. Even when he got a clean chit from them, he was unable to trust his wife. In fact it made him even more firmer in his belief that Sulekha was indeed having an affair with Anil and not only that she was also passing his money to her so called lover.

He got CCTV’s installed in his office and home so that he could monitor each and every movement of his wife. Worse on suffering losses in his business he became absolutely sure that his wife was passing the money to Anil.

They were blessed with three children but Ashok refused to believe that they were indeed his children and went to the extent of getting their DNA checks done. Naturally the DNA test also confirmed that he was the father.

He got so obsessed by his suspicion that he made his wife under a narco test which is reserved for hard core criminals. It is the violation of fundamental right against self incrimination as per article 20(3) of the constitution no person accused of any offence shall be compelled to be a witness against himself. Sulekha must have certainly been under very heavy pressure when she must have agreed to undergo a narco test. Anything to save their marriage.

But it was not to be. On July 18 Ashok threatened Sulekha with a loaded gun and promised that there will be dire consequences if she did not reveal the name of her secret lover. Obviously she told him that she did not fear bullets and that she was ready to leave his home if he wanted, because how could she name someone who existed only in her husband’s sick imagination. But blinded by his his own jealousy Ashok killed Sulekha by shooting her point blank and than rushed to Anil’s office and shot at him but luckily he survived.

He is at present under arrest and a case under Section 307 of the IPC is registered against him. Poor Sulekha, all the indignities she suffered to save her marriage and in the hope that perhaps one day her husband to come to his right senses were in vain. Suspicion is really a deadly maggot in the brain.
