The Tsumnami of recession is entering and playing havoc with the lives of ordinary people who by the way are not in very income bracket. Ordinery working class is feeling the pain in some cases in a horrifying manner.

Ravindra Verma is or was a truck driver with five children aged from an infant of eight months to the eldest daughter fifteen years old. Ravindra lost his job few months back.He was surviving by earning a pittance from odd trips that came his way,obviously for his family it was not enough.

He took to alcohol and after returning drunk late night, something in his mind snapped. He entered the house carrying an iron rod and smashed the heads of his five innocent sleeping children,murdering them on the spot.Poor things little did they knew it was to be their last sleep and that their own father can be so brutal.

Then he attacked his wife,critically injuring her, she is fighting for her life in a local hospital,Then Ravindra slashed his wrists in an attempt to commit suicide even he is admitted in the hospital.

He has confessed to have killed his children and told the Magistrate he did not wish to live any longer. Recession has brought acute financial problems.Tragedy is that unable to look after their families several men have taken to crime to earn money.The rise in recent spate of crime such as kidnappings, murders, robbery are all the fall out of recession.

Now that Ravindra has survived and his moment of insanity has passed will he be able to survive with the images of his loved ones being murdered in such a brutal manner by his own hands,The sleepy eyes of the children in their last moment filled with terror and shocked realisation that their attacker was no one else but their once loving Father.
