Gadhi Chaukhani, the village where the accused of the gang rape of the girl on Monday hail from is in a defiant mood. There was a panchayat held on Wednesday, the villagers refused to believe even for a moment even the possibility of their “Boys” doing such thing.

In fact they had given a threat to call for a bandh in Noida claiming that the girl and her friend who was accompanying her were the main culprits.This enlightening statement was given by the village elders and mothers of the accused. As per their statement their sons were not involved in the rape. Rather, they arrived at the spot when the girl started shouting. They thrashed the boy(Friend)and prevented the rape. If they did so what was wrong in it asks Santosh mother of the accused Sanjay Yadav.

Another accused Sudhir Yadav’s mother Parmeshwari lamented, that the boy and the girl were involved in the wrong act. They are the ones who are at fault. The girl was found almost nude and it was the boy who came to Noida, insinuating that he brought the girl to their area with the intention of raping her.

In fact she demanded the girl should be punished (by God! how can one punish the poor girl who is already been through such a degrading ordeal is something which is beyond comprehension) AND THE BOY SHOULD BE HANGED TO DEATH. They also demanded the suspension of the investigating officer, and there should be a judicial inquiry because they feel that the friend is being shielded because he is son of a Police Officer.

Talk about the stove calling the pot black. When the accused have been booked for this heinous crime will the mother remember the punishment she is demanding for the friend?
