E-mailUnbelievable but true, a young politician voicing what nearly ninety nine percent of Indians have been thinking from the time of Independence. Why are we giving such importance to Pakistan? After all it is just a small piece of land, much much smaller than India. As per Rahul it does not deserve half the importance we are giving it.
As per him we have succeeded in changing the attitude of world towards Pakistan by creating pressure and now thw whole world is putting pressure on Pakistan to change.
This awareness should be enough.I think he is right we should get over this morbid obsession we have for Pakistan. We are so involved in its smallest activity that we overlook the problems in our own country.It is a political gimmick which our politicians are playing and we the gullible are falling for it head over heels.
Regarding Jinnah, Rahul very rightly said that this generation is not at all talking about Jinnah who is history now.No one is even thinking about him not even for five seconds,nor for one than why why create such an issue over him.
Let Pakistan have its own Heroes we have our own.plenty of them.
Rahul is absolutely right, we should get over our obsession with Pakistan, certainly we do not want it to take priorty over our endless problems.
Everyone including common Indian and Pakistani wants to live a normal peaceful life with the Government taking care of its everyday problems.We don’t want unnecessary bloodshed and tensions.
Live and Let Live should be the policy.

You seems to be impressed too much by what Rahul Gandhi has said about Pakistan.
But you see,many are having different viewpoints.
It’s the Pakistan who invaded India four times and is the main source of terrorism in Kashmir and elsewhere and printing fake Indian currency.A big size of Indian budget has to be diverted to meet these threats which otherwise can be utilized for the redressal of other problems.Moreover,creation of Pakistan itself is the root cause of the present day suspicion between Hindus and Muslims in our country.Nobody in India wants to think of Pakistan but it’s sheer compulsion owing to the factors mentioned above which makes an average Indian to think about this immediate neighbour.
So far changing the world attitude is concerned,I don’t think much have changed.West particularly US always acts in it’s own interests.It’s the US who after 9/11 flooded Pakistan with aid only to utilize it’s air bases against Taliban in Afganistan.More recently it has been admitted by Mr. Mussaraf that the aid so received for development was used against India for defence purposes.
Even under so called pressure, Pakistan has not dismantled the terror schools estblished in it’s teritory.China is the open supporter of Pakistan in it’s all misdeeds.West is using Pakistan for it’s own vested interests and Pakistan in return is getting aids from both hands.But, I’m sorry nothing much has changed in favour of India from the so called change of ”world attitude”.
I too have future hopes from Rahul Gandhi.But he has still to learn a lot about the internal or the external affairs of the country.
Don’t give any importance to Pakistan
means we just ignore the problems created by it?
You know India has never interfered in the internal matters of any country including Pakistan.
So it’s an oppertunate time for India to devise it’s own strategy and should handle Pakistan in an effective and meaningful manner without relying on US support.
