I am a very normal Indian like many others I do not go overboard with my patriotism, but there are certain occasions like Independence day, Republic Day when I feel proud to be an Indian. Also when there is some International Event like Bejing Olympics 2008 when the contingents of different countries marched with their respective National Flags one’s heart fills with pride, but alas the Indian Contingent was most casual, with I care a Damn attitude especially the females, the way they were dressed, even as all other participants were wearing their national dresses, not our fellowcountry females. There was no coordination, no synchronization in the dresses. I was watching eagerly for their appearance and I was disappointed.
The programme as such was innovative and as per my view point the best part was when the flag bearer for Bahrain a Muslim country was a Female. Highly commendable gesture.
