Admitted that the illiterate and ill mannered conductors have to put in long hours of work in the rickety, smelly, and often broken seats in the local transport RTV’s in this sweltering heat. They have to deal with many people who are equally frustrated and want to save a penny here and a penny there while lying about their destinations. Arguments with swear words thrown in liberally are way of life for these conductors and drivers. But such harsh working conditions seems to have brought out the animal instinct in some.
While going for a self defence class in Delhi, one deaf and mute teenager boarded this RTV. As usual the conductor rudely inquired about her destination and demanded money for the ticket. Poor girl was not able to explain and resorted to sign language. Unable to understand her plight the conductor misbehaved with her and went to the extreme, he and the driver pushed the poor girl out of the RTV where she fell on the road and was injured.
By the way, she carries a disability certificate with her.
After she was taken to the hospital and given first aid she reported the matter to the police.
Thankfully the police was able to help her out and the miscreants were arrested after she identified them.
Does working in harsh conditions gives one the right to take out one’s frustration in such an inhuman manner? Shocking isn’t it.
