No middle finger please

Suddenly flaunting middle finger is in thing, not like the famous rather infamous incident where Greg Chappell, now the had been coach of Team India showed his allegedly injured finger rather than the implied abuse and everyone heaped insults on him.

But now the First family of Bollywood showed their marked middle fingers a proof that they had cast their votes, which has not gone down well with the Election Commission officials as they cited the rules that in normal course, the voting mark is put on the index finger and if some one is casting a proxy vote on behalf of defense personnel than his middle finger is marked too and with the publicity given other voters may ask for their middle finger to be marked instead.

And another news item which is coming in that many actors did not vote such as Kareena Kapoor, Deepika, Asin, Priyanka despite being in the fray not for elections but to publicize the value of voting, may be they thought it is a better proposal to be seen regularly on TV rather than going out in this heat to vote. Others joining the band wagon of non voters are Preiti Zinta,Shilpa Shetty, Salman, Akshay Kumar and Saif. Shahid despite being in Mumbai and featuring in Lead India video did not vote either.

Everybody knows that Master Blaster is busy with the IPL (like Dhoni and Bhajji who were busy somewhere else to collect their
Padma Shrees) did not fly down to vote like King Khan.

We as ordinery citizens are expected to fulfill our duties actually one duty that is casting our votes and those who preach are not practicing themselves.

But one best thing that can be seen on the billboards lining the roads is the pertinent expectations listed there by the Lokrajandolan. The normal expectations of a common man corruption free MCD, Government Hospitals with Doctors treating everyone without discrimination, teachers teaching in the Government schools and parents deciding the fees structure of their children school.

They are asking for all these things and will vote for any party which gives them this Swaraj. If only wishes were horses—-

Why do these people should vote? They have nothing to do with the policies of Government. The IPL is more important than the parliamentary elections for these people.

To vote is not their duty. It is the duty of common men. They can’t wait for their turn in the long ques. After all, their time is very precious!

I think your comment is sarcastic but again you are right that they don't need to vote because they don't have any expectations from the govt.

They have enough money to take care of their families and themselves. They are not dependent on the politicians.

Its the common man who should vote because they are the one who need govt's help in getting the basic necessities.

So stop looking at others and start working for yourself.

You mean to say that you will fulfill your responsibility if any XYZ will also fulfill his/her. I don't think our voting or not voting should be dependent on if any celebrity votes or not.
