Moral Terrorism Unleashed

The persons who give birth to a human being do they have the right to take away his or her life, that too on moral grounds. The modern developed society is just like an illusion in the harsh real world.

It happened in a small Haryana village.Anil Singh 21 was in relationship with Rani Kumar 16 of the same village for any years, obviously they had grown up together, somewhere down the years the friendly feeling developed into more stronger feelings of love.

On Wednesday Anil’s family was organising a religious function, while the whole family was busy Anil sneaked out of his house and went to meet his sweetheart. They than sneaked off to a secluded spot as every loving couple do they try to hide from prying eyes and get lost in their own world.Unfortunately they were spotted by Rani’s uncle. He alerted her family and they all came along. They allegedly found the couple in a compromising position.

The sight gave rise to the animal instincts in them. They killed Anil on the spot and left his body there. They took Rani with them, murdered her in the house, took her body to the village cremation ground and performed her last rites. I don’t think anyone even shed a single tear.

Anil’s body was spotted late night and the matter was reported to the police. The accused were rounded up they being the girls’ parents, her brothers and uncles and have confessed to having killed the couple.

The frightening sentiment which has come to the fore is that anyone attempting to meddle with the so called honour of the families would meet the same fate in Haryana and as the boy was physically involved with the girl he did not deserve to live and the girl deserved to die because she exceeded the limits of dignity.

In the same Haryana a family is living in terror and under heavy police guard just because their son married a girl of the same sub caste and the caste panchayat had ordered them to leave their village. The family meanwhile defied the order and is adamant to stay in the village and keeping their daughter in law with them.

Who has given the Right to kill to ordinary persons. The same who derive their power from the mob frenzy? If the children do not follow the path shown by their parents and if they fall in love can they be murdered in cold blood without batting an eye?

The moral values of the children can be different than those of their elders. Why are parents turning into murderers in the name of Honour, loosing face in the society, the same society which will turn away if anything untoward will happen and the family expects support? When will the killings taking place in the name of Honour will stop?

Parents become blind in the name of honor that they forget that whom they are severely punishing are own children. While in some cases poor children are left with no other option than to end their life. Every now and then issues like these come up, we are sick of it but the society isn’t.

It's the failure of state and center government. Congress is ruling in the center and Haryana. Congress has always disappointed the people in fight against fanaticism and such inhumane local rules.

It is not fanatasism but Scintific to protect in breeding , as regard Police or Court protection , it is Governed by tradition,In Villages it is a family of Local and it is applicable. Like other Hinhus who dont marry in own Family. People commenting should learn in depth. Police cant force a perticular person to talk to any other person which is called Social bycott.

Yes it is shame that honour killings are happening in our country. Definitely congress is not going to address this. What we need is these are considered as homicide of higher category where the punishment should be minimum life imprisonment or death penalty.

More often these kind of heinous acts have political support like MPs and MLAs. Politicians don't want the people to get out of clutches of caste and religion. They provide shelter to the culprits.

Honour killing is still one of Inidia's biggest prevailing evils and yet nothing is ever done about it!We never read of any laws or any actions taken against it? I wonder why it was not an issue in the last elections?
