Again the same horrifying story, a 11 year old girl in Mumbai was raped that too violently,one shudders to even think about it,on Friday.She was suffering from pain and and burning sensation in her private parts.When her mother and her aunt took her to Sion Hospital her rape came into light. The medical examination showed that she was sexually assaulted.

Further interrogation led to the discovery of the fact that she was being raped by her father for last three years. These are the medically proven facts.

Now for the bizzare reality. The CMO (Chief Medical Officer) on duty told the two females accompanying her that getting the child admitted would amount to a police complaint. may be the CMO was tired after a hectic day at work or whatever the reason be but it seems that she told the mother and aunt of the child to go away,perhaps warning them about the hassles they would face if such thing became public.This was when the girl was examined,her history recorded in the presence of a padeatric regitrar.

Meanwhile it was the turn of another CMO who just turned in for her duty,She persuaded the mother to lodge a police complaint.The mother perhaps in the mean time weighed her pros and cons and apparently the husband won this time (doesn’t he, every single time). So she did what a obedient, faithful wife would do.She told everyone that the girl had head injury because of an accident three years ago,so she was mentally ill,she was not raped at all and surely not by her husband, then she and the aunt took the girl away.No one in the hospital stopped them.

As per the Dean of Sion Hospital Sandhya Kamat,such an incident did took place in the hospital but was silent on the issue of reporting the matter to the police,whereas it is mandatory to do so,so says the head of the Medico-Legal Cell of Association of the Medical Consultants, Dr.Lalit Kapoor.

Who is mentally ill here, the mother, the aunt,the CMO,everyone but the only sane person who is punished and is doomed for whole life is the young girl who is only 11 years old. Unfortunately even words fail to describe the depraved Father.
