Screwdriver, broken beer bottle, kitchen knives and to top it all a solid iron press. All this was used to knock, stab her 24 times so that she died a torturous death.
Kiran Kapoor was a loving and strict mother who always used to object to her wayward ways of her only daughter Sakshi. Sakshi was not good in studies so naturally her parents were worried about her future. They sent her to a good school just like her brother and when she showed no interest in her academics got her trained to be a nursery teacher.
Sakshi was working as a kindergarden teacher, She was allegedly reprimanded by her mother for small things , for her careless ways. This may have been one of the reason why she hated her mother.
Sakshi reportedly had many boyfriends. On that fateful day Kiran was supposed to attend a religious meeting which should have gone on for nearly three hours but which got over early. When Kiran reached home she found the main door locked from inside.Using her duplicate key she entered from backdoor and was shocked to find her daughter in a compromising position with one boy, the same she had strictly ordered Sakshi not to keep any relations with.
She was naturally very angry and started shouting, unable to quieten her , Sakshi’s boyfriend first knocked her down with a solid press iron, than both of them stabbed her 24 times with screwdriver, beer bottles and kitchen knives till she was near death.
The inhuman daughter then ransacked the house to cook up a story of a robbery. She gave some valuables to her boyfriend to make the robbery look real and told him to run away. Than she cut the wrist of her dying mother to make it look as if robbers had attacked her mother.
She also rang up her father and then the police and told them a story as how she hide behind the sofa and was afraid to come out when her mother was being attacked.
But now everything is out in open. Police found many loopholes in her story and finally she was nabbed. She has confessed to her crime but she is behaving like a hardened criminal with no remorse whatsoever for the gory murder of her own mother.
Here there is no reason to believe that this girl was deprived of anything just for being a girl child.Just because her mother wanted the best for her she used to scold her, surely there is nothing wrong in that.
My sympathies are with the father and brother of this girl who lost wife and mother respectively but now for their whole life they have to live with a stigma of their daughter and sister being a murderess of her own mother.
And when this gap increases to a limit, children generally become bold or totally submit. Some commit suicide but this case is one of a kind, where girl murdered her mother.
Very sad, but has to be tackled at the basic human psychology level.
If the victim was a father, you feminists and your media would have called it ”attempted rape” and ”murder in self-defence”. Note that women can commit the same crimes as men. Its not one of a kind. It is quite common but gets suppressed.
Parenting is an art. Every human being needs a personal space.
This is India and not the west. Here, the values and traditions are a little different. Maybe, in the west, there are no rules for kids and no parenting at all after a certain age. In India, there are some traditional values. No mother would tolerate her daughter sleeping with her bf in her own house. Perhaps in the west, mothers would see daughters having sex with their bfs, while they take turns. But your comment seems to suggest that murder is right in this case.
I said people should be given space and children are supposed to be tackled with love and has to be taken in confidence. Home is not an army training camp where we need discipline in every thing. She was a 26 yr old female, not 16.
Why don't you people use your brains and think with a logic?
Its tragic that the woman died.
And westerners aren't sex freaks, the way you people think. Come here and see that we treat is a part of life not as a mission as you Indians.
You people are top in STDs and will be top in population too. Great values! Keep it up.
I didn’t say that there should be no space for kids. But you are trying to compare Indian society with the west in terms of freedom. If she is 26, she would have been kicked out of her house if it was in the U.S. Why 26? At the ripe age of 16. And who can forget the number of abortions that happen in the U.S.? Its an industry by itself. Not to speak of single motherhood and fatherlessness that your society is into. Drug addiction, alocoholism and what not.
We have a lot of deceases not just STDs, because of poverty. Obviously the statistics will show a large number of infections in a large population. Over 200 years of western invasion definitly took all our wealth away. We are working on it.
But for you, United States of Assholes, as you said, sex IS life and you are living FOR sex.
I am not justifying the action of killing someone. But to me the reason for this action is an outburst of years of suppression.
What Sakshi did was horrible and totally unacceptable, whether she is a female and an Indian does not make any difference.
Her act is despicable even if she was a male and belonged to any other nationality
I am not referring to what the article states. You cannot see this case in isolation and within the narrow definition of ”difference of opinion”. How did such major differences come about within one’s family and between a mother and her daughter? Have you asked this question? I am explaining the factors that led to such differences within a family. I am referring to the forces in society that are creating such differences between earlier generations and today’s generation X and Y. The differences between the parent and her daughter are directly linked to the change in social values and norms between that generation and today’s generation. How did that come about? It primarily came about because of feminism and media created images of modernism. Feminism stands for absolute freedom for women, sexual freedom being a part of that. Tradition is very different from this. So, the clash within the family is a result of this. Feminism would support any lady who stands for modernity and the breakdown of tradition. Though it would not support the girl for committing murder, as such, it would certainly support the girl on the pretext that her circumstances forced her to do that. Ultimately, the breakdown of traditional values is the aim of feminists. Anything in that direction is most welcome for feminists.
This crime cannot and should not be read in isolation and in the narrowest perspective. You need to question the reason behind the generation gap in terms of values and social norms. Having even 1 boyfriend in our parents times was a sin of sorts. Society was too traditional then. Now, having 10 bfs and having sex with each of them, threesome, foursomes is very common and every girl does it. This behaviour, one cannot blame the girls for that. It is the neo-liberal, feminist and westernised environment that we live in today which is encouraged by the media. So, we need to look at the larger issues and unless we do that, we cannot get at the root of the problem.
