Wow, of all the—, so I thought when I read this line, but strangely it is a fact. Any male especially Indian male may have reached the top of his modern career in which he comes in contact with many females who may be as or maybe more intelligent than him. He will never acknowledge them as his equal. He may have an affair with them but God Forbid if his wife is in the same working conditions he will never, ever tolerate this and his marriage will face problems.

Remember, how your husband pestered you when you were married about your past relationship if any, magnanimously saying that your past does not matter, it is only the present and the future that counts and if you were naive enough to believe him and told him even of an innocent friendship all the hell will break loose. The understanding husband will immediately change into a fire breathing dragon.

It is a different story altogether when his past relationship comes into light, Oh, she was so understanding, you know, in fact even today we are in touch and the poor understanding wife has to take this in her stride.

As per the marriage counselors it is advisable to bury your past and never dig it, because the Indian Male has double standards about past relationship, acceptable if it is his own and totally unacceptable if it is his wife’s.
