I know I am inviting the ire all concerned by even touching this topic. But seeing the state of things and especially receiving a comment on my blog I am frightened– . Yes Mr. Ramesh,I am frightened, the terrorists are succeeding in their motive.
As a normal peace loving Indian citizen I do not understand the politics of Religion. I do not understand the basics of conversion. I think if a person is not true to the religion he is born in how can he be true to his religion of conversion. If he is tempted by monetary gains he can easily switch over to any camp who offers him more.
The social status provided to such converts is not the same as originals.I mean traditions and conservatism still rules many many families and their acceptence of any outsider is not at all whole hearted.
Then why conversions are made the base issue in all the rioting?
Fundamentalists in any religion are leaders with very strong and rigid views, they have the capability to sway the weak in their favour. Pity , these days they are going against the tide.
The future scenario is pretty bleak in terms of tolerance, that is why I am afraid and frightened.
Fundamentalism and conversions.
