Fashion, the modern version, in the modern scenario is always in trouble, the outlandish designs, the page 3 parties and now a commonplace occurrence, wardrobe malfunction.
Well I am talking about the movie “Fashion”. Remember Gitanjali Nagpal, the former model who had walked down the ramp with the likes of Sushmita Sen, was rescued from the pavements rag picking by the Delhi Commission for Women, they ,after concerted efforts and seriousness rehabilitated Gitanjali who was both mentally and physically abused.
It seems Madhur Bhandarkar the noted film maker has based his movie “Fashion” on Gitanjali’s life. Kangana Ranaut is playing the role of Gitanjali. And as per his past successful efforts Namely Page3, Corporate, Chandni Bar all based on real life stories he has the tendency to show the seamier side of each world.
The DCW is afraid that if that will the case, the portrayal of Gitanjali in the film may affect her adversely. As per them she has just begin to re-enter the main street of life. The depiction of her life may affect her present and future life.
They are totally against anyone who tries to glamorize and seek publicity on anyone’s tragedy.
The DCW and the Central Board Of Film Certification have put forth a condition that prior to release of this movie nationally they should be shown the movie so that the correctness of the script, scenes and story can be judged impartially and judiciously.
Things can get hot for Madhur, because if he fails to do this, his film may face a total ban.
Nice to see that at some people up there believe in follow-up and not leave the rescued victim in the midstream
