Today when I surf the TV channels every channel is trying to boost up that elusive TRP. And in today’s world, the true heroes of Kargil war are obviously long forgotten. All the 527 brave hearts who gave their lives in a very painful manner just to ensure that we continue to lead our mundane lives peacefully without any problems.
They gave up their lives and others became maimed for life so that our politicians would continue to play their petty games, creating a ruckus in the parliament just because their security was being reduced from 16 to 12, brooding and becoming uncooperative because their blood relatives were not given ministerial portfolio, ready to stop the proceedings of the house just because of some tacky TV program and taking up cudgels on behalf of unwilling public to become moral police. So that some may go on a statue building spree .But none had the courtesy to visit Drass, and Tiger Hills with the ones who had lost their sons, brothers, fathers, husbands compelling the obvious comment if only they had lost their loved ones they would have been standing with us.
It was only after a hue and cry did the Prime Minister went to the Amar Jawan Jyoti to pay his respect, well better late than never. Every TV Channel and every newspaper is giving the details of the neglect suffered by the relatives and army personnel who have suffered injuries but this is a momentary lapse on their part. Tomorrow we will see likes of Rakhi Sawant and Fiza and Kambli dominating the news. After all even they are in the market to earn profits. Today everyone will go home satisfied after covering discussions and debates about Kargill, a job well done.
And me what have I done, nothing except venting my ire on my blog, tomorrow there will be other news involving other people and I will be writing about them forgetting Kargil.
I am guilty.

No doubt kargil victory was the triumph of India's growing military power but what about the comments made by Musharraf recently that forcing India for dialogue process was the greatest success of Pakistan in kargil war. None of the Indian leaders answered the question.
