Two days ago a Doctor Mother Roopa Kupuri injected her four year old twin daughters with doses of poison killing them and than tried to kill herself by injecting the same herself but survived,all because she had a fight with her Doctor husband about the location of Nursing Home they were planning to open.Her husband wanted the location to be outside Delhi and she wanted it to be in Delhi itself.Now she has to face the legal consequences of her action and also has to live with herself with the crushing guilt feeling and the images of last moments of her beloved daughters.

In Bangalore a mother killed herself and her three sons because their family was facing financial difficulties,First they had a successful transport business which crashed forcing them to give up their comfortable life,the children were shifted to a government school and were dependent on free mid-day meals,their father was forced to work as a coolie,the mother unable to bear the downward transition took the ultimate step of killing her three sons and than herself. Now the poor husband is left all alone in the world with no moral support from his loved ones.

One thing I fail to understand is why innocent children are made pawns in any fight between a couple.If they have given birth to them do parents have the right to take away the lives of their young children if either of the parent has difference of opinion?The poor children are too young to understand the implications of the fight but I am sure if they had a choice even they would like to live happily and not murdered at such a tender age.
