A 54 year old Bernardini, Administrative Assistant who is a earthquake victim which rocked Italy in April is asking the Prime Minister Bercusloni. This is in response to the promise made by Bercusloni, when he visited the earthquake devastated area and met the 50,000 victims. He along with offering state help also offered his various homes for them.

Now Bernardini was rescued after two hours being in rubble with his mother and lost his home during the earthquake in L’aquila. Unfortunately his mother died after a month.

He has been living in tents and hotels since April. Now he wants to live in a house, and what better option than taking up an offer made by the super rich Prime Minister. He has even given his choice of residence in the letter. He even said that as far as he has knowledge no one has been accommodated in any of the houses and still so many are living in tents or hotels.

Bernardini is also not happy with the lip service but wants the Prime Minister to keep his promise.Also Berlusconi had said that he will be visiting Abruzzo to keep an eye on reconstruction work in summers but instead went to Sardinia for holidays. He also promised rehabilitation by mid November or latest by end of the year, but that does not seem to be possible.

Now during his last visit when he was hackle by the homeless victims he ignored them. Well it must be bolt out of blue for Berlusconi, not even in his wildest nightmare he would have dreamt about giving up his palatial houses at the best locations in many cities for earthquake victims. After all saying something that makes you feel good and enhance your image is different but following it in reality is totally different.

No wonder none of our Politicians ever make such foolhardy promises.
