A mentally deranged man, who was awarded death sentence in a Texas Court pulled out his only good eye and ate it.At least this is what he told the authorities.

Andre Thomas 25 was arrested for fatal stabbing of his estranged wife,their young son and her 13 month old baby in March 2004. Even their hearts were ripped out.He was convicted and condemned for the infant’s death.

Before his trial in 2004 he plucked out his right eye in Grayson County jail in Sherman. The judge subsequently ruled that he was fit to stand a trial.

A Death row officer found Thomas with blood on his face and took him to the infirmary from there he was transferred to the Prison Psychiatric facility in Houston prison.

Thomas from Texoma had walked into he Sherman Police department on 27th March 2004 and told them that he had murdered his 20 year old wife, 4 year old son and 13 months old baby and stabbed himself in chest.

He also told the police that he had ripped out the hearts of his victims, put them in his pocket and left their apartment, came home, put the hearts in a plastic bag and flushed them down the drain. Officers had found the bodies of the victims with large gaping wounds in their chests.

Perhaps now he will be getting the urgently required mental health care as it was requested for by Thomas trial attorney Bobbie-Peterson Cate.

A really shocking incident,but it gives one a reason to be thankful for the gift of sanity and reasoning but unfortunately this Natural Right is being discriminated against by temporary insanity and unreasonable behavior of few.
