Austerity, Laws And Politicians!

When Mr. Pranab Mukerjee chided his cabinet colleagues S.M.Krishna and Shashi Tharoor for staying in a five star hotel and working for the development of still developing India they vacated the premises and shifted to less appealing government guest houses but not before they clarified that they were paying for the five star luxuries from their own pockets.

Good but don’t they realise one thing they have joined the system to change it for better and as such they have the moral duty to join it in totality even less than one percent can enjoy the luxuries of high living so why not live like ordinary Indians and feel their joys and pains than only you can really serve them.

“Laws, what Laws, I am the law” seems to be the clear cut message that BSP Supremo Mayawati is giving to the nation. She wants to give a clear picture that Supreme Court is for the rest of the nation She, well, she is Supremo herself. One thing about Mayawati is you can love or hate her but you cannot ignore her.

One has to admire her guts. She has just ignored repeated injunctions by the Supreme court to halt her statue making spree but no where has the work stopped even for a single minute leave aside a single day.

It seems that Maya has taken upon herself with vengeance, of course, to pay back the higher caste for the atrocities they have committed on lower caste and perhaps with her statues all over are a clear reminder of that and with the ever present purse she wants to emphasize the fact that money is power and she has them both.

As for the austerity drive few would have known about the proposed Good Will visit to Greece and Egypt by 12 members committee belonging to different parties which was to be headed by the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has been called off.

One tends to think that since the call was given by Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi what better way to come in her good books. But than why plan these trips was the drought situation a sudden occurrence? Secondly what better way of keeping every member happy, take everyone irrespective of the party they belong to, after all if required may be their vote of confidence may be helpful in future.

When the planned trip was not publicised why publicise its cancellation?

This is the worst part of Indian democracy that the law makers are out of reach of the law. They literally mock at our judicial system and the high/supreme courts watch as spectators.

Even if he is paying from his pocket, still he ideally should stay in the government provided accommodation.

He said that he's paying from his pocket only when the matter was highlighted in the media. Otherwise, he would have paid the bill from goverment's money only, which is the money from our taxes.

In case the Minister was paying from his Pocket, than Mr Pranab Mukerjee had no right to ask to move out of the Hotel but inquiry must be instituted by the Income tax department, as to find the source of the Bill paid to the Hotel by the Minister, Now Public must force the Government, that it should make cash Payment to all M P. who should make their own arrangemnt for their Stay which include Security Cover , P M . should be allocated Funds to run the Government, so that not to appoint truck load of Ministers to keep his Chair intact. Rent for all Govt accomodations Located in Lutean Zones should be fixed at open market Price , which should be paid by the. occupant.including Electricity water , and Transport. In case there is no taker than people living in Jhuggis should be allowed to live in for some period so that they may also enjoy the fruite of Democracy and comfort on the tax payers money, These Politicians should not be allowed any more Luxury on Poor tax payers hard earned money. India must act as real Democratic Country,

Mr. regrats over his remarks
Reacting on the controversy over his ’cattle class’ remarks, Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor Thursday night said he was ’sorry’ for hurting any sentiments and that his words had been misunderstood.
Congress says>Congress party spokesperson Manish Tewari said: ”Action will be taken (against Tharoor) at an appropriate time.”

Tewari further said that action against Tharoor was not ruled out.

He also justified Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s statement on Thursday seeking Tharoor’s resignation for what he called ”irresponsible” comments on the social networking site Twitter.
Our PM says”(Tharoor’s) comment was just a joke,” said the Prime Minister on the sidelines of a function in the capital.
Really my country is Mahan where we all ”Cattles” choose this Government.
