It can easily be compared to the story of Goliath and David, the only difference being, here David is a female.

Lancenaik Gurvinder Singh of 8th battalion of the Sikh Regiment paid a visit to the shop of Rali Faiherim who sell branded garments in Assam’s Haflong town. Because of the insurgency there is always a very heavy army presence in the NC hills.

On Wednesday Gurvinder wearing his combat suit and carrying arms visited her shop along with his group of Army personnel. While Rali was showing him the garments he passed lewd comments and even tried to touch her.

But Rali was not the one to be intimidated by the presence of the whole army group nor she was cowed down by the ammunition carried by them. Not the one to take this insult lying down and ignoring it she pulled him out of her shop, picked up a stone and just let him have it.

The whole scene was picturised by a TV stringer. In Assam there had been complaints of molestation by the army personnel and the women are always at the receiving end but this woman just hit back.

Than she filed a complaint with the Police and after the FIR even Army has swung into action and ordered an inquiry. If all the females show this brand of courage there will be no cases of molestation and army will be doing their job that is curbing insurgency rather than defusing the tensions caused by such allegations.
