She was not feeling well, in fact she was feeling rotten inside, it has been twenty days, when she was rescued from the rooftop of the makeshift straw house, mercifully floating, which she managed to grab as the Kosi swept her mud house taking her meagre belongings with it.

Weak with Hunger and dehydrated and almost at the end of her tether she was finally rescued by a private boat, occupied by three men.
Hailing them as her Saviour she could not thank them enough,but strangely they just looked at her silently and gave her water and some food gratefully she accepted the manna showing her gratitude.
when she recovered a little closely watched by the silent men, they simply turned the boat in the backwaters with little traffic. Just like Munni she went along trustingly,innocently, little knowing what was in store for her.
She was raped with impunity, without any remorse or fear by her rescuers, no one was there to hear her cries.no one to save her.
Those animals then simply left her,bruised and battered at a relief camp where they were hailed as heroes.She was just one more victim they had rescued.
After taking stock of her position,she helplesssly decided to accept the degrading incident as her destiny,she knew no one would believe her.
But now it seemed her trials and tribulations were not over, the horror of rape had not left her but it came back to haunt her. she knew now that she was pregnant.
A flood victim,and a rape victim,alone and helpless. Kosi was responsible for her pitiful condition. She decided to go into Kosi to ask the river,why she was cursed all over again
