A Loving Father's Dilemma - How Can I Not help Her?

Mr. Ashok Kapoor, father of Sakshi and husband of Kiran is a broken man today. His whole world has turned upside down. He lost his wife and daughter the same day.

Not even in his wildest dreams or nightmare he would have thought that while he went off to his work normally, fondly seen off perhaps by both his daughter and wife, may with some demand from Sakshi and some trivial instructions from Kiran, that a phone call would shatter his world forever.

When he must have received the news of his wife being killed allegedly by some robbers it must have been shocking, but what was the ultimate blow was when it came out that his daughter had killed her own mother.

Whatever some may say he is firm on one point. His wife was an excellent mother. She helped Sakshi complete her studies despite scoring low score in boards. She also helped her to complete her teacher’s training course. Kiran was the one who prepared breakfast and packed lunch for Sakshi when she went to her school and always looked after her when she suffered from epileptic fits. And she never ever differentiated between her son and daughter.

Like every middle class mother she wanted the best for her daughter and knowing very well that one day she will be married and going off to her husband’s place, she wanted her to be efficient enough to look after her husband’s family.

Kiran was a deeply religious female and so she just wanted sakshi to inculcate her religious beliefs. Every parent wants that but no one gets killed for such things.

After loosing his wife, Mr. Kapoor is clear about standing by his daughter .He had visited Sakshi in jail. He even asked her why did she do it but she remained mum.

He admits that both his daughter and his friend ruined his life. He also knows that all evidences are against her; still he will provide legal assistance to her. After all Sakshi is own blood. How can he not help her?

Hats off to such a loving father! May he have the strength to go through hell every time he sees his daughter!

Its sad that this happened but there might be a strong reason behind it you may call it adolescence or you can say disconnected upbringing

I don't know what to say because the girl might as well be under grievance of losing her mother and guilt at the same time. And the irony is she can't even mourn on her mother's death as then they'll be seen as crocodile tears.

We still don't know her part that why did she do this??
